Abstract

Acute asthma is a hyper-responsive bronchus in the respiratory tract which results in narrowing of the airways (bronchospasm) caused by contraction of smooth muscles in the airways, inflammation of the airways, thickening of the walls in the airways, and increased mucus production excessive airway due to symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest pressure, and coughing. This Research o know if nebulizer and active cycle of breathing technique can decrease dyspnea in patient with acute asthma. The result show that after third times of therapy, there was a decrease of dyspnea using borg scale. The result is T0 : 5 to T3 : 2. Nebulizer and active cycle of breathing technique (ACBT) are effective to decrease dyspnea in patient with asthma.
