Abstract

Temon Subdistrict is one of the areas included in the Acceleration Masterplan project and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development in 2011, by constructing a new airport in Yogyakarta. The impact of the project results in changes in land use in Temon District. The villages directly affected by the construction of the new airport include Glagah, Palihan, Sindutan, Jangkaran, and part of the village of Kebonrejo. The purpose of this study was to find out the changes in land use in Temon sub-district and to analyze what factors influence changes in land use change in Temon District. The method used in this study was a comparative method and direct survey. The results of this study indicated that the land use in Temon sub-district in 2008 was dominated by the use of rice fields (1,327.05 ha), in 2018 the use of the fields decreased by 261.35 ha, and the use of built-up land in 2018 increased by 261.95 ha, initial land changes occurred from the use of agricultural land to built-land. The driving factor for land changes in Temon Subdistrict is due to the increasing population growth.
