Abstract

ABSTRACT MSMEs are one of the industrial sectors that make a major contribution to the economy of the community. MSMEs greatly affect the national economy, because it can reduce the number of unemployment which is very high and contribute high to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). One of them is in Boyolali, MSMEs in Boyolali began to develop even though they were previously underestimated. MSMEs are one of the factors that play a role in economic growth, it is noted that economic growth in Boyolali Regency is slowly increasing every year. In 2016, Boyolali regency had 144,278 UMK units and 2,184 UMB units, (Central Statistics Agency, 2016), but the lack of facilities and containers to support MSME activities in Boyolali. Therefore, the aim of the design of the "Boyolali Arts and Crafts Center" is to create a learning center container for MSME players who provide educational facilities or facilities as a contribution to the SMEs and Micro Small Businesses. (UMK) and provide a complete and convenient forum for promotion and information on design developments to the entire community of Boyolali Regency and its surroundings in the form of workshop, exhibition, gathering and market spaces.
