Abstract

Cylinder arm is a cylindrical hydraulic system actuator located on the excavator boom. The cylinder arm has functions to raise and lower the arm. Cylinder arm is one of the components in hydraulic system, these components are combined with a hose that flows hydraulic oil from the hydraulic pump. The mechanism of cylinder arm is to raise and lower the arm. Hydraulic oil to power up, lubricate, clean and cool the unit. Hydraulic tank used to hold hydraulic oil from the system and coolant that returns after operation. Filter used to filter out some impurities contained in hydraulic oil. Pump used to make hydraulic oil flows or move. Relief valve is used as the first action for safety pressure according to the limit. Hydraulic control valve to adjust the amount and direction of hydraulic oil flow. As well as hydraulic hose as a conductor of hydraulic oil according to pressure to all parts of the unit. This analysis aims to determine the working mechanism of the hydraulic system components and the amount of torque, flow rate, efficiency, and pressure on the cylinder arm hose. The calculated analysis results in cylinder arm hydraulic system such as closed cylinder arm flow capacity of 21.10 L / minute, open cylinder arm flow capacity of 326.19 L / min, torque of 503.516 Nm obtained by mechanical efficiency of 89.072%, flow rate of 6,061×m³/s obtained volumetric efficiency of 79, 392%, and the overall efficiency of the hydraulic pump was 70.72%. Then the power needed at the pump is 32.64 hp, the pressure loss in the pump inlet hose (Suction Line) is 0,237 kg/cm² and the pressure loss in the pump exit hose (Dischange Line) is 0,0973 kg/cm².
