Abstract

Tourism is a sector that has a role in increasing income. Indonesia is a country that has natural beauty and cultural diversity, so there needs to be an increase in the tourism sector. This is because tourism is a sector that is considered very profitable and has the potential to be developed as one of the assets used as a source of state income. The city of Boyolali is a city of nature based tourism in Central Java which is visited by many local and foreign tourists, a variety of tourist attractions that rely on nature such as climbing Mount Merapi and Merbabu, Selo Nature Tourism and so on Most tourist attractions in Boyolali Regency are in the eastern slopes of Mount Merapi and Merababu, namely Selo which presents its natural attractions which are visited by many tourists. When reviewed, the development and utilization of tourism potential in the Selo Tourism area is currently not optimal. This can be seen from the inadequate accommodation facilities available. Seeing these conditions, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the quality of tourist facilities and infrastructure, in this case a resort hotel, a resort hotel is one option that is considered good enough to be applied to the cello region considering that the area is a natural tourist area that presents very mountainous natural scenery interesting. Selo Tropical Resort Hotel also applies the concept of tropical architecture combined with contemporary architecture, so that contemporary concepts can blend with the climate and surrounding natural conditions.
