Abstract

Fatiya Nuzuli Mufti /A510156005. KEEFEKTIFAN TALKING STICK BERBANTUAN LAGU DAERAH PADA MATERI KERAGAMAN BUDAYA TERHADAP HIGH ORDER THINKING SKILL IPS SISWA KELAS IV SD. Skripsi. Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan,Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Mei,2019. High Order Thinking Skill is a high-thinking skill that is needed by a nation that has this cultural diversity. This innovative capacity building method is needed for elementary school students iv. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of talking sticks assisted by folk songs on the material of cultural diversity towards High Order Thinking Skills IPS grade IV students. The research method is a quantitative experiment using the pretest-posttest in the control class and the experimental class. Collection of data through test, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the prerequisite test and hypothesis testing through the Man Whitney test. In the results of the study there are findings that in testing the hypothesis with the Man Whitney test the posttest data is known to have a significance value of two tails of 0.874> 0.05, which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Such analysis shows that the talking stick method assisted by folk songs in the material of cultural diversity is not effective in improving the ability of Social Sciences HOTS students in grade IV elementary school. The reason for the suspicion of the researchers is due to the research control class using 2013 curriculum learning, the weaknesses in the two methods that make the results of the posttest do not have much difference, the effect of other variables on the posttest implementation will affect the final score.
