Abstract

Human resources is a very important thing that must be owned by a company for the effort to achieve goals. Where the safety and health of an employee must always be considered because to reduce work accidents when running a job. The purpose of this study is to test: 1) To find out that occupational safety has an effect on the performance of publicly-owned drinking water companies in Surakarta. 2) To find out that occupational health has an effect on the performance of publicly-owned drinking water companies in the city of Surakarta. 3) To know occupational safety and health work has an effect on the performance of publicly-owned drinking water companies in Surakarta. This research was carried out in a public water company in the Surakarta city. Sampling using simple random sample technique. This study took the number of respondents as many as 78 people. The data testing technique uses instrument test, classic assumption test, accuracy test of estimator model, and hypothesis test with the help of SPSS program. Based on the results of the instrument test analysis, the classic assumption test, the accuracy test of the estimator model, and the hypothesis testing in this study the results were obtained, among others: 1) Work safety has a positive effect on performance. 2) Occupational health has a positive effect on performance. 3) Work safety and occupational health have a significant effect on performance.
