Abstract
The amount of demand for electricity is a top priority for the community. Human life today cannot be separated from the role of electric energy. Meanwhile, population growth, economic growth, and the rapid development of science and technology which resulted in increased electricity consumption. The transmission line is a part of the electric power system which has a very important role in channeling electrical energy from one place to another. Often the transmission channel experiences various problems and the impact of the problems felt by consumers is one of them is a power outage. The effort to overcome this problem was used the root cause analysis methodology in this study to determine the root cause of the problem in the electricity transmission line at the 150 kV substation in Pekalongan. Finding the root cause of the problem that occurs, can be desired to minimize the occurrence of the same problem or disturbance on the next day and can provide corrective action proposals in order to reduce the case of the disorder. Based on the results of the research analysis, there were twelve root causes of the transmission channel disruption in the 150 kV Pekalongan Substation and there were some of the most common disturbances including the occurrence of currents that exceeded the strength of the device, corrosion occurred in the conductor, installation of tools or components not thorough, lack of field inspection and socialization with the surrounding community. According to data on performance achievement in the Pekalongan 150 kV Substation it is known that the TLOF (Transmission Lines Outage Frequency) level that occurred throughout 2018 was 0.487 times per kilo meter circuit (kms). Meanwhile, the Transmission Line Outage Durations (TLOD) indicator is 2,145 hours / kms. Based on the overall research on performance achievement in the 150 kV Pekalongan Substation, it shows the increasing frequency of problems occurring in the transmission line and the increasing duration of problems in the transmission line.
