Abstract

Semarang city is one of Indonesia's metropolitan cities, as well as the capital city of Central Java Province. The enactment of Law No.32 of 2004 concerning Regional Autonomy has very broad implications in regional policies and management. The coastal / coastal area and the sea of Semarang City are very potential natural resources, but most of the area has not been utilized optimally. Bank Indonesia (BI) research results on the development of commercial and residential property prices per quarter III-2015, Semarang recorded the highest growth in residential prices on Java. (TribunJateng.com, 2019). In accordance with the Regional Spatial Plan 2010-2030, Marina Beach is included in the Region III Section (BWK III), which is under the auspices of the West Semarang District. In the Spatial Plan the Region III section functions as a center: transportation, warehousing, recreation areas, settlements, trade and services, offices and industry. Various potentials and natural attractions possessed, Marina Beach area is an area that is strategic enough to be developed into various functions, so that it can accommodate the opportunity of coastal communities to develop business and trade, so as to attract tourists to improve the tourism sector in Semarang City. Based on the elaboration above, it can be concluded that in Semarang City provides good opportunities for commercial development such as hotel resorts that are supported by a promising property investment market, as well as Semarang's economic growth, then planning and designing Resort Hotels in Marina Semarang Beach Area with contemporary architectural concepts useful to popularize tourism by developing resort hotel infrastructure facilities that facilitate various conveniences with a view of Marina Beach location that can attract tourists to visit the Marina Semarang Beach Area.
