Abstract

This study aims to examine and find out (1) the influence of leadership style on work motivation (2) the influence of leadership style on employee performance (3) the effect of motivation on employee performance (4) the influence of leadership style on employee performance with motivation as an intermediate variable. Research uses quantitative methods with primary data. The population of all employees amounted to 152 employees with the Slovin formula obtained a sample of 110 employees, through questionnaires with sampling techniques using random sampling. The data analysis technique used is the classic assumption test, path analysis by testing the hypothesis t test and test f. The t-test results indicate a partial effect of leadership style variables on employee performance and motivation variables on employee performance. While the f test has the effect of simultaneously variable leadership style and motivation on employee performance. The indirect influence of intermediary variables is proven to contribute to mediating the influence of leadership style and employee performance. The results of this study will be able to help corporate leaders in improving the performance and motivation of employees by establishing good communication, giving rewards to outstanding employees, and conducting training so as not to get bored with the same job.
