Abstract

This article discusses the mixed code phenomenon that occurs in the Nano script by Riantiarno entitled Maaf Maaf Maaf. The type of research used in this study is qualitative description research. The sociolinguistic study of code mixing in a drama script entitled Maaf Maaf Maaf Nano Riantiarno's work aims to 1) describe the mixed code form in Nano Maaf Maaf Maaf by Riantiarno and 2) describe the factors that cause the use of mixed code in the drama script Maaf Maaf Maaf by Nano Riantiarno. The source of the data in this study is in the form of a drama entitled Maaf Maaf Maaf by well-known writer Nano Riantiarno. Analysis of the data in this study uses a translational equivalent method and the basic technique is the technique of Determining Determination Elements (PUP) with other language defining tools. Provision of data in this study using qualitative research is done by documentation and observation. The documentation results in the form of a drama script by Nano Riantiarno entitled Maaf Maaf Maaf, while observations were made to understand and explain the forms and causes of the mixed code data. Data collection in this study uses the literature study method, see, and note. The results showed in Nano Riantiarno's Maaf Maaf Maaf drama script found 25 mixed codes which included three forms of mixed code, namely the form of mixed code in the form of words, form of code mix in the form of phrases, and form of code mixing in the form of clauses. The most common form of code mixing is the form of word-mixed code. The researcher found the form of mixed code in the form of 21 data words, the form of code mixing in the form of 2 data phrases, and mixed code in the form of data 2 clause. Factors that led to the use of mixed code in the drama Maaf Maaf Maaf by Nano Riantiarno are the background of the attitude of the speaker, the desire to interpret, and the limitations of the code. The dominant factor that caused the interfering of the code in the maaf maaf maaf drama by Nano Riantiarno was the background factor of the attitude of the speakers.
