Abstract
Abstract The purposes of this research study are: 1) To describe Edmodo media in application of accounting learning at SMK N 6 Surakarta, 2) To describe the challenges of implementing Edmodo media in application of accounting learning at SMK N 6 Surakarta. This research uses qualitative method with ethnographic design. Observation and interview techniques used by the author in data collection. Subjects in this study are accounting teachers at SMK N 6 Surakarta who applied edmodo media and also all students SMK N 6 Surakarta. The samples of this study were consists of three accounting teachers as the main data source and six studens as confirmation data soure. The analyses technique of data reduction are used for data presentation and verification. The results are: a) the application of edmodo media had been carried out in accounting learning at SMK N 6 Surakarta as a supporting media for teachers in learning, b) the challenge of implementing edmodo media in accounting learning subject at SMK N 6 Surakarta is that the teacher has not implemented some features of edmodo, c) the features available on Edmodo can be used in the learning process but there are some features that cannot be applied by the teacher in learning, namely the polling feature and the parent code feature.
