Abstract
The Batik industry in the city of Solo is developing very rapidly, considering that batik originating from the city of Solo is still used as a mecca in batik industry in Indonesia.The batik industry in the city of Solo, on average are focued on selling batik products, carried out by verbal agreement between the seller and the buyer, the buyer agrees or agrees with the price of batik sold by the seller, then the buyer pays. Regarding the payment system used in the Batik Industry in Solo City, there are 2 types of payment systems, namely the cash payment system and the tempo payment system. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of sale and purchase agreement using the tempo payment system at the batik industry in Laweyan Surakarta, the application of the principle of trust and freedom to contract in a sale and problems when application purchase agreement using the tempo payment system for the batik industry in Laweyan Surakarta. This research is a descriptive research and normative approach method. The results of this study are the implementation of a sale and purchase agreement using a tempo payment system that can be done orally or in writing, and before the sale and purchase agreement is carried out, the buyer must meet the criteria set by the seller so that the buyer trusts the buyer. The application of the principle of trust and freedom is contracted in a sale and purchase agreement by using a tempo payment system in the batik industry in Laweyan Surakarta, using the criteria that the seller uses his feeling by looking at the reputation of the buyer, the seller sees whether the buyer is serious when trading really, the buyer will take care of his own good name. Problems that arise when carrying out the sale and purchase agreement using the tempo payment system at the batik industry in Laweyan Surakarta are frequent delays in payments made by the buyer, the velocity of money is slow, and there is a risk that the buyer does not pay for batik products has been purchased by the buyer.
