Abstract

Survival plant is wild plant that can be consumed or edible and useful as medicine in an emergency to survive. The aim of this study was to determine the types of survival plants in the forest area of Mount Lawu Cetho Temple’s hiking trail. This study uses an exploration method with a purposive sampling technique by exploring the hiking trail from an altitude of 1600-1800 masl. Sampling of survival plant is carried out every time the encounter on the rightside and leftside of the hiking trail. Plant identification is done by recording the morphological, habitus, and habitat then analyzing it qualitatively and descriptively. The result of research was found 17 species of survival plants which consist of 2 divisio, 5 classis, and 13 familia.. The species are Ageratum conyzoides, Ardisia elliptica, Centella asiatica, Curculigo latifolia, Davallia trichomanoides, Eupatorium riparium, Imperata cylindrica, Impatiens platypetala, Lantana camara, Melastoma malabathricum, Pilea melastomoides, Pinus merkusii, Polygala paniculata, Rubus moluccanus, Rubus niveus, Rubus rosifolius, and Urtica longifolia.
