Abstract

Textile and textile products are industrial enterprises that produce textiles and textile products. Activities within the textile industry generally include spinning, weaving, dipping and refinement activities. One of the negative factors caused by the development of the textile industry is respiratory disorders. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between employee behavior in the use of PPE with respiratory problems complaints on employees at PT. Star Asahi TextilIndustriPurwosuman, Sidoharjo, Sragen regency. This research is an analytic quantitative research with cross sectional design. Population in this research is all respiratory disorders in PT. BATI, Sidoharjo, Sragen regency amounting to 84 people. This study uses exhaustive sampling technique for sampling, while based on calculations obtained by a sample of 70 people. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between employee behavior in the use of PPE with respiratory problems in employees of PT. BATI, Sidoharjo, Sragen regency (p = 0,001). The conclusion of this study is there is a significant relationship between employee behavior in the use of PPE with respiratory disorders in employees of PT. Star Asahi TextilIndustriPurwosuman, Sidoharjo, Sragen regency.
