Abstract

The phenomenon of Migration is very coloring in several regions, including Surakarta. Motivation that is often found to move is due to economic factors, including problems in wages, population growth and poverty levels. Surakarta City has developed into a city that is crowded with many migrants. This study aims to analyze the driving factors of the migrating Surakarta population by focusing on the variables of poverty, UMR, population and LFPR. In this study using the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method, based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the poverty and wage variables have a significant and positive effect while the population and TPAK do not significantly influence migration in Surakarta. Based on the analysis it can be used to find out migration in Surakarta and anticipation of migrants who increase every time. Keywords : Migration, Poverty, UMR, Total Population, LFPR
