Abstract
The danger of pesticide poisoning is the accumulation of unfavorable use actions. The risk of poisoning can be minimized if it is known to be safe actions and ways of working. The act of using pesticides that is not good is made possible by the factors of knowledge, attitudes, and actions for handling pesticides that are still low. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and actions of pesticide use with complaints of pesticide poisoning in pest control workers in Central Java and Yogyakarta. The method of this study was carried out in a quantitative research with cross-sectional method based on observations and interviews, then analyzed and evaluated using data analysis techniques so that the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and actions of pesticide use with complaints of pesticide poisoning on Pest Control workers in Central Java and Yogyakarta was identified. The study population was 57 worker. Sampling with a simple random sampling of 33 worker. Test statistics using Chi Square. The results showed that out of a total of 33 respondents 3 respondents (9%) had complaints of pesticide poisoning. The results of statistical tests showed no significant relationship between knowledge and complaints of pesticide poisoning (p-value = 0.126), while the attitude variable (p-value = 0.645) so that there was no relationship with complaints of pesticide poisoning and worker action variable = 0,645) so that there is no relationship between the actions of workers and complaints of pesticide poisoning.
