Abstract
The emergence of health problems will increasingly be experienced by the elderly, it is caused by a decrease in the elderly body system. One of them is a change in the moskuloskeleletal system, a decrease in the moskuloskeletal system will alter the function of the muscles characterized by decreased muscle strength, decreased muscle contraction, elasticity, flexibility, speed and reaction time. This also affects changes in bone structure, especially the vertebrae which will affect changes in posture. Changes in body posture that often occur in the elderly in the form of increased curvature of the kyphosis or the spine increase its curvature towards the front, if there is an increase in the curva then someone will look bent. The change in the posture of the elderly will experience a decrease in ability to maintain postural balance when moving dynamically. The risk of falling elderly will increase, fears that the elderly will fall make the elderly reduce activities and mobilization, this will reduce their independence and productivity. The objective is to analyze the relationship between changes in body posture with dynamic balance in the elderly. This type of research is observational with a crossectional approach. The number of respondents as many as 40 elderly was chosen by purposive sampling technique. Data on elderly people with kyphosis postures are known through examination using flexicurve aids, while developmental dynamic balance data are obtained from TUGT (Time Up and Go Test). The results most of the elderly who have a kyphosis posture will experience a decrease in dynamic balance. There is a fairly strong or large relationship between changes in khyphosis body posture to dynamic balance in the elderly.
