Abstract
The government targets renewable energy in 2025 to reach 23% of this policy to reduce fossil energy use, until 2018 the percentage of new renewable energy reaches 12.2%, for that there are still 10.7% of new renewable energy that has not been made, water is one energy sources that must be optimized to be used as both small and large-scale generators. Rivers, rivers, reservoirs and waterfalls should be used as Micro-Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH), one of which is the Bojonegoro district Motion Dam can be used as a generator because it has a relatively large water discharge and sufficient height. This research was carried out with several methods for measuring discharge using floating methods, to find headnett or falling water height can be done by using the Google Earth application where we look for headtop and headbottom then compared, to calculate the electricity potential by using the power method (Q), from the data the average water debit for 1 year reaches 247.94 m^3/s with a head of 2 m and the average electric power that can be produced is 3.69 MW, with this condition the type of turbine that is suitable for PLMH is the Kaplan Turbine which has head 1 - 100 m with debit 1 – 1000 m^3/s. The results of the Bojonegoro Motion dam research are very feasible to be used as one of the Micro Hydro Power Plants (PLTMh)
