Abstract

Flexibility with regard to overall body function, decrease in physical activity also decreases flexibility. The increasing age and decreased physical activity, can lead to a decrease in the flexibility of muscles that need to be stretching the muscles. The influence of age on the flexibility described as curves. Where children starting at the age of increasing flexibility, but after the teenager began to decline. This decline was triggered by decreasing the secretion of growth hormone by the pituitary gland that networks are increasingly slowing recovery capabilities. Passive stretching is the most frequent method used stretching, soft tissue dielongated right past the point of network prisoner is then maintained in an elongated position with a force constant strain for some time. To know the difference between the duration of the effect of passive stretching for 30 seconds to 60 seconds to the flexibility of the hamstring muscles futsal players. On this study researchers used a kind of experimental research with the design of the study is a pre and post test two group design in futsal players that are active in the exercise routine were taken totaling 32 respondents were divided into 16 passive stretching 30 seconds and 16 passive stretching 60 seconds , Data is taken in the form of age, and measurement capabilities hamstring muscle flexibility measuring devices passive straight leg raise. Based on test results obtained Mann Whitney Test significance value of 0.661, this value is > 0.05, it can be concluded there is no significant difference to the difference in duration of 30 seconds and 60 seconds of passive stretching for improving the flexibility of the hamstring muscles. conclusions on this research that passive stretching is performed for 30 seconds and 60 seconds on the futsal players have the same relative effectiveness for improving the flexibility of the hamstring muscles.
