Abstract

The study aimed to: 1) describe planning of quality based school inSMK Sahid Surakarta 2) describe management ofquality based school in SMK Sahid Surakarta 3) describe the controlling quality based school in SMK Sahid Surakarta. It was a qualitative study using ethnography design to understand the view of the stakeholders of SMK Sahid Surakartaconcerning management of quality based school. The data were collected by observation, interview, and document. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and 2 drawing conclusion as well as verification. The result of the study showed that: (1) school based program planning activities to formulate a quality school program, white step- by step identify challenges, challenges the analysis stage, the stage of programe preparation , and preparation stages and financing cost. Preparation of quality school based planning is a very important think, because the school is planning a school work plan can be used as :1) manual work ( reference frame) in developing the school, 2) the basis for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of school development, and 3) material reference to identify and propose the necessary educational resources for school development. (2) implementation of quality school- based program in SMK Sahid Surakarta divided in the field of student affairs, curriculum and learning activities, educators, and educational personal, facilities and infrastruktur, finance and funding, school culture and environment, and community participation and partnership. (3) control of school –based program is the responsibility of the quality of principals and conducted by team consisting of the principal, teacher.
