Abstract

Preeclampsia is elevated of blood pressure ≥ 140/90 mmHg and with the occurrence of proteinuria after 20 weeks gestation, while eclampsia is preeclampsia accompanied by convulsions. Preeclampsia/eclampsia needs the right treatment. The existence of drug-related problems during treatment causes the failure to achieve treatment goals and can even cause morbidity or mortality. It has been found that 89 (42%) patients experienced at least one incidence of DRPs with a total of 105 cases out of 212 samples in pregnant and lactating women. The aim of this research is to evaluate and determine the percentage of occurrence of drug-related problems in the category wrong drug, underdose, overdose, and unnecessary drug therapy in pregnancy with preeclampsia/eclampsia in the Inpatient Installation of RSUD Dr. Moewardi in 2017. Of the 77 patient data analyzed, 520 drug prescriptions were obtained for pregnancy with preeclampsia/eclampsia who were hospitalized and there were 77 drug-related problems consisting of wrong drugs in 8 cases (10,4%), underdose were 53 cases (68,8%), and overdose were 16 cases (20,8%).
