Abstract

Higher education or often called campus is a place used by students to pursue higher education. Campus comes from Latin; campus which means "wide field", "tegal". In a modern sense, campus means, a complex or closed area which is a collection of university or college buildings. Higher education is a level of education after secondary education which includes diploma education programs, bachelor, master, specialist, and doctoral degrees held by higher education. Higher education is held with an open system. Since 2017, the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematic) study program has been widely opened by the Government. this is intended to meet the STEM Professional and Vocational Program graduates in industrial needs. Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta currently has a Vocational Program with 11 study competency studies and Professional Programs with 7 study programs. The design of the Development of Integrated Campus for Professional and Vocational Programs at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta aims to design a one-stop integrated campus of the Professional and Vocational Programs in UMS as a centralization of non-academic study programs by emphasizing the concept of emphasis on the Green Building.
