Abstract

Construction workers from Mantingan Village, Ngawi Regency are well known to the community from Mantingan Village and outside Mantingan Village. The wage system is carried out by the Mantingan villagers by applying local customs, namely wages deferred for one week. This study aims to find out how the construction worker wage system is in Mantingan Village, Mantingan Sub-District, Ngawi Regency and how the Islamic law reviews the construction workers in Mantingan Mantingan SubDistrict,Ngawi Regency. The type of this research is qualitative research. The data used in this study is primary data from direct interviews with construction workers and homeowners/ wage-giver. Secondary data are obtained, namely in the form of Monograph of Mantingan Village, Mantingan Sub-District, Ngawi Regency. The method used is the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used is a descriptive method. The result of this research prove that the wage system for construction workers in Mantingan Village, Ngawi Regency less in accordance with the syara’, where the Mantingan Village community in Ngawi Regency still uses a system of wages according to customary customs, namely deferred wages for one week and no notification of rules in giving wages, the amount of wages to be given as well as the large number of construction workers (kenek) assistants who will be taken by construction workers (artisans) at the beginning of the contract that have the potential to harm one party and potentially contain garar elements.
