Abstract
Lack of information is one reason for the lack of family knowledge about osteoarthritis. This causes an inaccurate way to minimize and even eliminate the symptoms of recurrence. This study aims to determine the differences in the level of family knowledge before and after being given health education. is a type of quantitative research, using pre-experimental design, the design used is one group pre-test post-test design. The study was conducted in Menuran Village Sukoharjo Tray Health Center Work Area with a sample of 57 families who treated osteoarthritis patients, sampling using total sampling technique. Research data collection uses a knowledge questionnaire which is then analyzed using a paired sample t-test. of the paired sample t-test were obtained significantly (2-tailed) 0,000 <p-value 0.05, which means that there were differences in differences in the level of family knowledge before and after being given health education. of the respondents who were less cooperative, less focused and difficult to agree to become respondents. there are differences in the level of family knowledge before and after being given health education about osteoarthritis in the Sukoharjo Baki Health Center Work Area. s For health workers it is recommended that more improve and routinize activities to provide health education for the community, increase the use of media to be more effective and the material can be conveyed better. Institutions emphasize more on students to improve their skills in providing health education. Further researchers are expected to be able to increase the number of samples, expand the area of research, examine community knowledge about other diseases.
