Abstract

Consumer protection is all efforts that ensure legal certainty to provide protection to consumers. Consumers are every person who uses goods and / or services available in the community, both for the sake of themselves, family, other people and other living creatures and is not traded. Street vendors (PKL) are business actors that conduct trade business using mobile or immovable business facilities, using municipal infrastructure, social facilities, public facilities, land and buildings belonging to the government and / or the private sector that are temporary / non-permanent. The aim of Consumer Protection is to foster awareness of business actors regarding the importance of consumer protection so that an honest and responsible attitude in the business grows. The formulation of the problem is (1) What is the profile of the information obtained by the consumers of street vendors in Surakarta? (2) How is the legal protection for consumers of information obtained by consumers of street vendors in Surakarta? The method used in the study is Normative. The results of this study are legal protection for street vendors in Surakarta.
