Abstract
Abstract Semarang is an area that has special food tofu meatballs so many tofu producers in this area. The study of solid waste and liquid waste treatment is carried out to find out effective and efficient waste treatment so that it can process waste optimally. The study was conducted on five tofu industries, namely is The Endang's Tofu Factory, The Suroso's Tofu Factory, The Tandang's Tofu Factory, and The Lestari's Tofu Company, and The Om Shin's Tofu Company. The tofu factory can directly sell as solid waste in the form of tofu waste or process it into Tempe Gembus. Comparison of The Tandang's Tofu Factory wastewater treatment plants with 17m3/day (large scale) wastewater. WWTP with an area of 1600 m2 anaerobic-aerobic system (Anaerobic Baffle Methane Fermentation Tank). Temperature analysis = 37oC; pH = 5; BOD5 = 288,96 mg/l; COD = 932,14 mg/l. WWTP efficiency is 68,53%, while The Lestari’s Tofu Company is the liquid waste of 11m3/day (medium scale). WWTP with an area of 16 m2 aerobic system (fixed dome reactor). Temperature analysis = 35oC; pH = 5; BOD5 =145.88mg/l; COD = 470,57 mg/l. WWTP efficiency is 89,55%. Analysis of tofu factory waste has not met the parameters of Tofu Industrial Wastewater Quality Standard Central Java Province Regulation Number 5 of 2012. Effective and efficient waste treatment is The Lestari's Tofu Company because WWTP has been able to handle liquid waste. WWTP is suitable for small-scale tofu industry is that the process adjusts to the amount of waste production, soil contour conditions, area owned, the operational costs are cheap, maintenance is easy, effluent quality meets tofu industrial wastewater quality standards, has economic value and is environmentally friendly.
