Abstract

Unsafe actions are actions that could cause an accident. PT. Aneka Adhilogam Karya is an metal industry that produces machine product components with concrete, viscous steel concrete, and forged steel concrete, which has potential working accident. From the study advanced has been found that 9 workers are not wearing any safety shoes during the metal production process, Do not use the protective, There were also found also 3 smoking workers and silt rope on hoist machine that almost broken. This research aims to find out the correlation of characteristics of workers with unsafe action workers in PT. Aneka Adhilogam Karya at Ceper, Klaten. This analytical research methods using cross sectional approach. The population is all of the 79 workers. The sample are 65 respondents who are picked using proportional random sampling. The statistical test is using spearman rank. The results shows that the behavior of 16 workers are totally safe, 17 workers are safe enough, and 32 workers are unsafe. The results of statistical tests shows that there is a significant relations between age (p-value = 0.004) with unsafe action and the correlation value (r) 0.353. While the educational level (p-value = 0,164) and working period (p-value = 0,196) with unsafe action do not have a significant correlation.
