Abstract

The unnatural work attitude in Indonesia is mostly caused by the incompatibility between the dimensions of the tool and the work station with the size of the worker's body which results in occupational diseases. Complaints of the lower back pain is a health disorder caused by working activities, one which is in the process of a brick printing withthe manual method. The results of the preliminary survey conducted on brick workers showed that 8 respondents from 10 respondents complained aboutlower back pain. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of work attitudes with complaints of lower back pain on brick workers in the Bengkal Hamlet, Tanjungsari Village, Pacitan District. The method used in this research is quantitative observational with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all brick workers in Bengkal Hamlet, 50 people in Tanjungsari Village, Pacitan Sub-District. The technique used is a saturated sampling technique of 50 people. Data analysis using the Spearman Rank Test (rho). The results showed a correlation between work attitude (p = 0.001) with complaints of lower back pain in brick craftsmen in Bengkal Hamlet, Tanjungsari Village, Pacitan District.
