Abstract

The electric power system is an electric power provider consisting of several interconnected plants. Judging from some of the problems that exist in the electric power system, namely the form of unstable electricity load patterns from various groups, it is necessary to carry out the characteristics of the load to identify the problems that exist in the electricity distribution system. The main factor of the electric power distribution system is the characteristic of various loads, so the load characteristics are needed so that loading can be analyzed properly. From the data obtained from PLN APJ Surakarta, several types of groups will be calculated for the load factor, for this report the author only calculates the load factor in the industrial sector. And the results of these calculations address the load factor for customers of industrial sector class I.1 (450VA) 0.01%, I.1 (900VA) 0.02%, I.1 (1300VA) 0.023%, I.1 (2200) 0.022%, I.1 (3500VA-14KVA) 0.019%, I.2 (14KVA-200KVA) 0.025%, I.3 (> 200KVA) 0.058%. From the data that has been calculated, it can be concluded that the load factor is still relatively small so that electricity consumption cannot be fully utilized.
