Abstract
CV. Mulya Abadi is one of the wood processing industry markets in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java. CV. Mulya Abadi Sukoharjo whole employs approximately 200 workers and the workers who was in direct intersects with production machines in total was around 80. In the process of production, the machine was held directly by the hands of workers and resulting in the vibrations that can discrupt the health of workers, one of which is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mechanical vibration to complaints of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) in woodcutter workers at CV. Mulya Abadi Sukoharjo. The method used in this study is a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 200 workers but with a target population to be studied around 34 workers namely all employees who worked in the wood cutting section (total sampling). The results of research with pearson correlation test obtained a value (p-value) = 0,048 < 0,05 with a r = 0,342 which corresponds to a relationship. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a relationship of mechanical vibration to complaints of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) in woodcutter workers at CV. Mulya Abadi Sukoharjo. Suggestions that can be given to relevant agencies are by providing foam gloves, periodic health checks, and providing information on occupational safety and health to all workers.
