Abstract

The increasing number of insurance companies and the many types of offers offered by insurance companies, indicate that the insurance business is starting to attract a lot of people. One way to offer insurance products is done through an insurance agent. Therefore to be able to find out about insurance business, this research will discuss about: (1) The process of agency agreements between agents and PT Bhinneka Life; (2) The rights and obligations of each party; and (3) The legal responsibility for both if it violates the agreement. As for in this case the writer will study it using a normative approach, namely by approaching legal principles and legal rules contained in the agency agreement with the contract system between PT Bhinneka Life and insurance agents. Although basically the insurance regulation has been regulated in Republic of IndonesiaI Law Regulation No. 40 of 2014 concerning Insurance Business, but in it is still very little explained about the position and rights of insurance agents. So that this can be detrimental to one party, especially insurance agents. Therefore, to create an insurance business that is fair to all parties, it is necessary to have an additional regulation that regulates and protects the rights of insurance agents.
