Abstract

International trade became one of the most important activities for the development of the Indonesian economy. Cocoais one of Indonesia’s leading export commodities. The purpose of this studyis to analyze the competitiveness and influence of production, international prices, land area and government policy on Indonesian cocoa competitiveness. The data used in this study is time series data from 2001 to 2017. Analysis tool used in this research is Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Based on the results of RCA analysis shows that RCA value is greater than 1, this indicates that the export of Indonesia’s tea have a strong competitiveness in the international market. Based on the results of OLS analysis indicates that production has noinfluence on cocoa competitiveness. International price have positive and significant influence. Meanwhile the land area and government policy have negative and significant influenceIndonesian cocoa competitiveness.
