Abstract

Along with the development and progress of the times there has been a change in the demands and standards of consumers towards traditional markets so that the traditional market position is being replaced by the modern market. Traditional Market Redesign of modern legi market is an effort to improve the image of traditional markets by offering better facilities and applying the latest technological developments. In order to realize and revitalize the functions of traditional markets to improve and develop, a transformation is needed based on current technological developments. The design method used is descriptiveanalytic method through a design approach with focused observations on the site location then analyzed through a design approach and a design parameter appears for a traditional market. The realization of these aspects to get the results of the design of traditional modern-style markets, needs to be approached to the development of building technology today by the application of double skin facade systems and the use of metal deck materials so that it is expected that with a reference frame and design concepts of traditional markets that can be restore traditional market competitiveness towards the proliferation of modern markets today.
