Abstract

A construction of highways, buildings, and other constructions certainlystands on the ground, so that land has a very important role in a construction. Alot of land is bad like in Troketon Village, Pedan, Klaten which causes damage in construction. Therefore stabilization is needed, one of which uses tras and lime with a percentage of 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% tras and 5% lime before and afterstabilization using lime and tras. This study aims to determine the physicalproperties and mechanical properties of the soil. In testing the physical properties of mixed soils, the values of water content, Gs, LL, SL, PI, and filter analysis No. 200 has decreased along with variations in the addition of tras and lime, whereasin the PL has increased. Classification of native and mixed soil according toAASHTO belongs to group A-7-5 while according to USCS native land isincluded in the CH group and mixed soil MH. In testing the mechanical properties of soil compaction testing using a standard proctor and obtained the maximumcontent weight value has increased while it is inversely proportional to theoptimum water content which has decreased. In CBR Soaked testing the greatestvalue was obtained at the percentage of 10% tras and 5% lime by 6% and the largest swelling test was found in the native soil of 2.07% and the highestdecrease after mixing with 10% tras and 5% lime ie 1.50 %.
