Abstract

Nursing is a form of professional service that is based on comprehensive knowledge and nursing tips, aimed at individuals, families and society. Regulation in Indonesia requires students to go beyond competency exams as a benchmark that can provide nursing care, competency exams can only be taken from the Nursing D3 strata and the Professional Profession Program. The importance of competency exams for nursing students is the demand of S1 Nursing students to continue their education to the Professional Profession Program. Purpose of this research is to know An overview of the students in the s1 transfer nursing program continued education to the profession nursing program at the university of muhammadiyah surakarta Subject of this research is students in the s1 transfer nursing program at university of muhammadiyah surakarta. The technique for taking sample is using total sampling. Total sampling is taking all member of population become sample. Sample this research is 47 person. This reserarch using questionaire to capturing data and using interest scale. From the results of the analysis using SPSS 16.0 interested values 64.3%, psychological factors namely those with desires 59.5%, physical factors namely health 54.8%, family factors namely family support 59.5%, environmental factors namely environmental support 50 %. In conclusion, more than half of the students were interested in continuing the study program nurses at the Surakarta Muhammadiyah University. Of the four factors that affect only the environment where the situation does not have a significant impact Keyword: interest, overview of interest, continued education.
