Abstract

Purwokerto is a city that is not autonomous because it is still a part and at the same time becomes the capital of Banyumas Regency, Central Java. Starting in the 2000s, Purwokerto began to grow rapidly in various fields, with the emergence of several facilities within the city including shopping centers, shopping centers, restaurants / culinary centers, sports facilities, colleges, international class hotels, health care centers, government agencies to Trans Jateng public transportation. To respond to the rapid development of the city, in 2005 the Banyumas Regency Government had begun to study the division of Purwokerto City, so that later the City of Purwokerto would become a municipality that had its own autonomy. In supporting the rapid development of the region, a new city is planned to be built in the area of Tanjung, South Purwokerto. The area is considered suitable with the reason that the area still has a large area and as an anticipation of saving water catchment land in the northern part of the city. This land is projected to be a new city as a Purwokerto landmark that contains the CBD (Central Business District) and a new government service office. Based on this rationale, a central government office that includes the Regent's Office, the DPRD Office and the Central Service Office will be designed so that more effective and efficient government activities and will also be one of the new landmarks in Purwokerto which will be designed with the eco architecture concept, the concept is expected can overcome the problems that exist in the prospective land of the Purwokerto Government Center which is a former rice field, and can also be a pioneer of environmentally friendly buildings in Purwokerto.
