Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work stress on the performance of Boyolali Police officers with emotional intelligence as a moderator variable. This analysis uses independent variables, namely job stress, the dependent variable is member performance, and the moderator variable is emotional intelligence. The sample of this study was Boyolali District police officers from each division. The sample is done by the quota sampling method. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire distributed directly to each member of the Boyolali police station as many as 100 questionnaires. The statistical method in this study uses Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The results of this study indicate that work stress has a negative effect on member performance as much as emotional intelligence has a positive impact on member performance and moderates the relationship between work stress and member performance.
