Abstract
Dysmenorrhea is a pain that is felt during menstruation due to increased levels of prostaglandin in the body. As many as 90% of teenager girls around the world experienced menstrual problems and more than 50% of menstrual women experienced dysmenorrhea. The incidence of dysmenorrhea in Indonesia is quite high, which is as much as 64.25% of women who are menstruating while in Surakarta, the incidence of dysmenorrhea is 87.7%. The factors were affected dysmenorrhea include nutritional status and stress level. To determine the relation of nutrition status and stress level to the incidence of dysmenorrhea in Medical Faculty Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach. Samples were taken from a population which had fulfilled the restriction criteria with total 166 respondents. The sampling technique that used was purposive sampling. The result were analyzed using bivariate analysis with Chi-Square and multivariate analysis with logistic regression. The results of the study between nutritional status and dysmenorrhea showed a relation with the results of p=<0.001. The results of the stress level analysis and the incidence of dysmenorrhea show a relation with the results of p =<0.001. The results of the multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that nutrition status more influenced the incidence of dysmenorrhea. There is a relation of nutrition status and stress level to the incidence of dysmenorrhea in Medical Faculty Muhammadiyah Univercity of Surakarta.
