Abstract
Background . Preeclampsia is a major pregnancy complication which incidence is increasing throughout the world (Serudji et al, 2014). Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) (2015), globally maternal mortality in the world is 303,000. In the previous study there were several speculations and conclusions about hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelet levels in patients with preeclampsia and patients without preeclampsia (Tiaranissa et al, 2014). Tiaranissa et al (2014) and Pakniat et al (2016) state that hemoglobin is increased in preeclamptic patients. Hetina et al (2015) stated that there was no difference in hemoglobin levels in preeclamptic patients and without preeclampsia. Giyanto et al (2015) stated that hematocrit was increased in preeclampsia patients. Khoigani et al (2012) decreased hematocrit. Yusrianty et al (2014) there were no differences in platelets in preeclampsia and without preeclampsia. Monteiro (2014) stated that platelets decreased in preeclamptic patients. Aim. The general objective of this study is to determine whether there are differences in hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelet levels between preeclamptic patients and not preeclampsia. The specific purpose of this study was to determine the rate of hemoglobin , hematocrit and platelet between patients with preeclampsia and without preeclampsia. Method. The type of research used is observational analytic with a Case control approach . The sample that used is 88 samples and were divided into target samples and control samples used consecutive sampling technique . The data was obtained from the patient's medical record during the hospitalization. Results. After analyzing the data using the test Unpaired T, the results of hemoglobin levels obtained p = 0.003, p <0.05. Hematocrit levels obtained p = 0.004, p <0.05. Platelet levels obtained p = 0,494, p> 0.05 . Conclusion. Hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelet levels have difference in preeclampsia patients and without preeclampsia. Hemoglobin levels in preeclampsia patients are higher than those without preeclampsia. Hematocrit levels in preeclampsia patients are higher than those without preeclampsia. The level of platelet in patients with preeclampsia and without preeclampsia are not different. Keywords: Preeclampsia, Without Preeclampsia, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, Platelet
