Abstract

Currently energy needs is one of the sources of human life that cannot be separated. Energy can be classified into two, namely energy derived from fossils of living things and plants. In this study, researchers focused on plant-based energy called biomass. Biomass is often referred to as bioresource. The biomass resource base includes Biogas, Plants, Agricultural Waste, Energy Plants, and others. Adapted biomass resources are renewed so that biomass energy is renewable energy. This study used two different sizes of rice husk particles, namely 20 mesh and 30 mesh. The study was conducted with flame time and temperature and boiling time and temperature of water every 30 seconds using variations in air velocity of 8 m / s, 10 m / s and 12 m / s. The results of this study are the average temperature of the most effective flame in rice husk 30 mesh with a speed of 12 m / s, the fastest boiling time in rice husks 30 mesh speed of 10 m / s and the size of rice husk particles and air velocity best in 30 mesh rice husks with a speed of 12 m / s.
