Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out the improvement of learning outcomes of eighth grade students in environmental damage methods using scrapbook learning media (2) find out the feasibility of scrapbook media on environmental damage material and the contributing factors for eighth grade students. This research is a research and development (R & D) development model from Sugiyono. Scrapbooking media processing uses paper, rulers, erasers, glue, ribbons, pencils, colorful paper, filming, and cutter. The research design uses One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, this design aims to find out the differences in the improvement of students' learning outcomes after using scrapbook media. The population in this study were students of class VIII A Al-Islam Kartasura Middle School 2017/2018 Academic Year which amounted to 30 students. Researchers used measurement techniques with guttman scale, data collection techniques used were questionnaires, tests, observation and documentation. The results of the study showed that (1) the improvement of learning outcomes of eighth grade students on the material of environmental damage had an increase, namely the average pretest of 52.67 and the average posttest score of 76.00. and (2) knowing the feasibility of scrapbook media on material for environmental damage class VIII based on the results of the T-test testing of pretest and posttest data which shows a significant value of 0,000, which means <0.05.
