Abstract

Indonesian Language and literature Education. The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University Surakarta, November, 2018. This study aims to (1) determine facts and opinions in the art of Sindo magazine, (2) how to determine facts and opinions in Sindo magazine articles. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data source in this study was taken from the magazine sindo article. The findings of this study are in the form of 3 fact characteristics and 2 opinion characteristics, namely (1) facts, (a) are objective, (b) proven truthfulness, (c) there are dates, times and places of occurrence. (b) opinion, (1) there is the word modality, (2) is a collection that is believed and conveyed subjectively. The analysis of facts and opinions in the sindo magazine has implications as teaching materials in Indonesian at high school (SMA). The linkage is included in Indonesian semester XII class 1 teaching materials regarding facts and opinions which are on basic competencies (KD) 3.10 Evaluating information, both facts and opinions, in an article that is read.
