Abstract

Future orientation of the academic field is an overview about the future that is formed from a set of attitudes and assumptions of the past experiences of interacting with information from the environment to form expectations, goals, aspirations and provide personal meaning in future events. This research aims to understand and mendiskripsikan the orientation of future student activists in the academic field. The methods used in this research is qualitative with the phenomenology of approach aims to understand the subject in a world of experiences. Informants in this study amounts to 82 people with criteria for students faculty psychology minimum semester 3 UMS and active student organizations follow a minimum of 1 year. Instrument in this study using questionnaires. The results of this research describes that student activists have a future orientation on pretty good in academics. The student activists have clear thinking and planning about academic. Besides, it student activists follow organizations to hone skills, add to friends, adding insight and experience freedom.
