Abstract
In the globalization era now, in the school environment student behavior now shows a decline towards the negative. This can be seen because there are many students whose attitude or behavior is not good. The attitude of a student's behavior depends also on the teacher who educates him. The purpose of this study is to examine and describe: personality competencies and teacher social competencies, planning, implementation, evaluation in forming student character. This study uses a type of qualitative research. With a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques through interviews with first order understanding and second order understanding, observation, documentation. Data analysis techniques for data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Research results: 1) Teacher personality competencies in this school teachers provide examples of good example to students, as a main figure for students in forming their character. The teacher's social competence is not only transferring knowledge but teachers in this school can also relate and communicate in social activities by giving examples or being good examples of social attitudes, teachers protect all students regardless of background, parental status, social status so that all students can get the same education. Teacher social relations with colleagues, education staff, school heads, parents of students, students, the community environment goes well, and relationships with students such as parents and children. 2) Planning in forming the character of students in this school, at the beginning of the year conducting teacher council meetings discussing school self-evaluation (EDS), facilitating vision and mission, KTSP, syllabus, integrated into RPP, reviewing and guiding rules, rules of karma, academic rules of the student code of ethics. 3) Implementation of character formation of students in this school all teachers and employees fully support because it has become a commitment according to the school's vision. The implementation of the learning process is by integrating character values into the learning process to instill character attitudes. Some school programs go through habituation activities. 4) Evaluation is carried out at any time as needed, carried out structurally. The form of evaluation is a monthly meeting consisting of a board of teachers and employees, in collaboration with parents or guardians of students. The evaluation tool is in the form of notes from the teacher. Follow-up conducts communication between school stakeholders with teachers, employees, parents of students, and the school environment.
