Abstract

Bricks are building materials that have long been used for both rural and urban communities for building materials. This can be seen from the many brick industries produced by the community of Srimulyo Village. The brick industry in Srimulyo Village is famous for its superior brick quality compared to other building materials and its price is cheap even though its manufacture is still traditional. Now many farmers in the Srimulyo area are beginning to be interested in developing the brick industry because it is considered more profitable than the agricultural sector. This study aims to analyze the development of the brick industry in Srimulyo Village from 2014 - 2018 and the factors that influence this development. The method used in this study is a survey. The sampling method uses a simple accidental method. The analysis used in this study is spatial interaction analysis in the form of marketing distribution. The results of this study indicate that the development of the brick industry in Srimulyo Village from 2014 - 2018 developed. The average development of production from 2014-2018 was 20%, the average development of income for 2014-2018 was 21%, while the average development of capital from 2014-2018 was 22%. The factors that influence the development of industry in Srimulyo Village are raw materials, labor, marketing, and capital. Raw material factors can influence development because the easier it is to get raw materials, an industry grows and the more skilled workers will produce better quality bricks so that marketing will become more widespread and affect an industrial development.
