Abstract
Engine Overheating is a condition where the engine temperature has increased above the working temperature. This analysis aims to analyze the damage, determine the causes of damage, know the steps to repair and prevent engine overheating. The inspection procedure is carried out by checking the components of the cooling system, cylinder head and cylinder block. Then an analysis is performed using a fishbone diagram to analyze the causes of engine overheating troubleshooting. Result of damage analysis Engine overheating occurs because the thermostat is damaged, namely the valve thermostat which cannot open when the temperature has reached the standard temperature temperature (71oC), and also due to damage to the cylinder gasket which causes bubbles due to compression leakage and mixing of coolant radiator and oil. The corrective steps taken are replacing components that are damaged with new ones. Preventive action is done by not using the unit over running, checking the coolant level, doing the daily check properly and correctly, doing preventive maintenance regularly.
