Abstract

Teenage school students are expected to have emotional regulation to accompany adolescent emotional maturity in deciding and doing something. The purpose of this study to determine differences in emotional regulation in terms of the education system. Hypothesis proposed that there is a “there are differences in emotional regulation in terms of the education system”. Subjects in this study amounted to 175 people, students from 2 high schools in Klaten. sampling tehnique onducted in this research is cluster random sampling. Methods of data collection using quantitative approach with measuring scale of emotional regulation. While data analysis is done by independent samples test analysis using SPSS for 16 windows help program. Based on the results of data analysis obtained t of 0.274; sig. of 0.784 (p > 0.05) which means there is a no significant difference in emotional regulation in terms of the education system. Empirical mean (RE) equal to 80.56 and hypothetical mean (RH) equal to 72.5 so have middle category. Based on the results of the study, the hypothesis which states that there are differences in emotion regulation in terms of the education system is rejected.
