Abstract

PT.Kosoema Nanda Putra is a company moves in textile sector located in Pedan district, Klaten regency, central java. In this company there are divisions inspecting and folding. The research purpose is to know the influence of lighting intensity toward eyes’ exhaustion on manpower of inspecting and folding division in PT. Kosoema Nanda Putra Pedan Klaten. Quantitative observational analytic research is used in this research with cross sectionalapproach. The research population of 120 employees with samples used in the Inspecting and folding division amounted 60 employees who were present at the time of the research. Chi-square results shows p value of 0,006, which means that Ho is rejected, so there is an influence between the intensity of lighting toward eyes’ exhaustion. The conclusion of this research is there is an influence between the intensity of lighting on eyes’exhaustion in the workforce of Inspecting and Folding division at PT. Kosoema Nanda Putra Klaten. The suggestion for this company is to add local lighting in the Folding division by installing a lamp above the engine to increase the intensity of lighting in the Folding division at PT. Kosoema Nanda Putra Klaten because when the employees are working they are need to inspect detailly, then the local lighting must be appropriate with standard by way minimum ≥ 300 Lux.
