Abstract
The suket mobile application is a manifestation of new innovations made by the communications and informatics department. The purpose of creating a suket mobile application innovation is to improve the public services in the village area, and to improve the quality of employees in serving the community. This research was conducted to find out : (1) the adoption of suket mobile applications in Tangkil, (2) the reasons for Tangkil residents to use the suket mobile application. Diffusion innovation theory is used to explain the process of disseminating communication through innovation over time between members in the social system. This study applied a qualitative descriptive method that aims to describe an object by collecting data in depth. Data collection techniques carried out in this study were by in-depth interviews, and documentation. The sampling technique used was by using purposive sampling. Furthermore, to check the validity, researcher used triangulation of data sources and for data presentation, researcher used interactive data analysis methods. The results of the research on the diffusion adoption process of suket mobile application in Tangkil, Sragen indicated: (1) acceptance and rejection to the improvement of public services in the Village by using interpersonal communication channels and group communication. Socialization and practice were directly selected by innovators to spread the innovation. (2) the uneven socialization has made this innovation difficult for residents to adopt. The limitations of Human Resources and the need for public services to the community are one of the causes of the community not adopting suket mobile applications. Researcher used knowledge stages, persuasion stages, decision stages, implementation stages, and documentation stages.
